Hope for Tanzania organization was established in 2011 and Registered in 2013 as Non-Governmental Organization subject to the provision of The Non-Governmental Organizations Act, 2002section 17.-(1) (2) subsections (a) (b) (c) and section 18 of the Laws of Tanzania. The organization is in Same District of Kilimanjaro region in Tanzania which is situated 105 km from Kilimanjaro regional headquarters between 4S – 4.45S and 37.5E – 38.5E (South – Eastern). The district in which the organization works covers an area of 5186 square km equivalent to 39% of total area of the region (13309km2).

Organization Vision is Sustainable environmental conservation, through socio-economic empowerment of the community, strong political will, collaboration between the organization and active involvement and participation of various stakeholders, development partners and the community by 2034.
